active substances: chondroitin sulfate 50 mg, meloxicam 10 mg.
excipients:
carbomer 940, glycerin, triethanolamine, polysorbate 80, ethanol,
ethylparaben, aloe, purified water.

Pharmacological
properties
The combination of chondroitin
sulfate + meloxicam slows down the progression of osteoarthrosis and
osteochondrosis, has an analgesic effect, helps to increase the range of motion
of the joints (in the area of application), has an anti-inflammatory effect,
and reduces swelling of the joints. Thanks to the optimal combination of the
components of the combination, there is a mutual enhancement of their analgesic
and anti-inflammatory effects.
Chondroitin sulfate is a
natural component of cartilage tissue. Chondroitin sulfate improves
phosphorus-calcium metabolism in cartilage tissue, inhibits enzymes that cause
damage to cartilage tissue, inhibits the processes of degeneration
(destruction) of cartilage tissue, stimulates the synthesis of
glycosaminoglycans, promotes the regeneration (restoration) of cartilaginous
surfaces of joints, accelerates their repair processes, and prevents the
collapse of connective tissue. This leads to decreased pain and increased
mobility of the affected joints.
Meloxicam has
anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Meloxicam selectively inhibits COX-2,
disrupts the metabolism of arachidonic acid, and reduces the number of PGs
(pain and inflammatory mediators) at the site of inflammation. Meloxicam is a
chondroneutral substance, does not have a negative effect on cartilage tissue,
and does not affect the synthesis of proteoglycan by chondrocytes of articular
cartilage.
Indications for use
The drug is recommended for use as
part of complex therapy for degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the
musculoskeletal system: osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis of the spine; other
joint diseases accompanied by pain.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug (as
well as to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs); violation of the
integrity of the skin at the sites of intended application; pregnancy;
breastfeeding period; children up to 12 years of age.
Method of administration and dosage
Externally.
Lightly rub in a
strip of gel 1 to 5 cm long, frequency of use is 2-3 times a day. The required
amount of the drug depends on the size of the painful area. After applying the
drug, hands should be washed thoroughly. The duration of treatment depends on
the indications and the observed effect. After 2 weeks of using the drug, you
should consult your doctor.
Side effect
Allergic reactions from the skin (itching, redness,
skin rash) are possible. If any side effects occur, you should stop using the
gel and consult a doctor.
Interaction with
other medicinal products
Cases
of interaction or incompatibility with other drugs have not been described.
Special instructions and precautions
The drug should be applied only to intact skin,
avoiding contact with open wounds. The drug should not come into contact with
the eyes and mucous membranes. You should consult your doctor before combining
the drug Sustaliv Plus with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as
well as if it is necessary to use the drug for more than 2 weeks.
Prescribe with caution in case of impaired renal and
liver function, with severe pathology of the gastrointestinal tract (peptic
ulcer in the acute phase), with severe pathology of the blood system, and old
age.
Overdose
The
extremely low systemic absorption of the active components of the drug when
used externally makes overdose almost impossible.
Release form
50 g each in an aluminum tube
with a polypropylene cap. One tube along with instructions for use in a
cardboard box.
Storage conditions
Store at temperatures below 30°C.
Keep out of the reach of children!
Shelf life
3 years. Do not use after the expiration date stated
on the packaging.
